YSL manifesto hits London

Published

The legendary Yves Saint Laurent manifesto will hit London on 18th September 2010 - and there's a special designer treat for the first 2,000 passersby

It's a knee-trembling moment for those in fashion circles and Yves Saint Laurent fans alike - the moment its annual manifesto is handed out to passersby on the streets of the world's most fashionable cities.

The newspaper-size book is free and contains exclusive news and a first look at the fashion house's coming season.

Conceived 'to magnify the field and extend the reach of fashion’, past manifestos have featured iconic images of Kate Moss and Gisele Bundchen. This year Polish Canadian model Daria Werbowy (Vogue cover regular and one of the world’s highest paid models) will grace its pages.

The book has already made its exclusive debut on the streets of New York and goes on worldwide release on 18 September in Paris, London, Milan, Tokyo, Hong Kong and for the first time ever Beirut. Over half a million copies of the manifesto will be distributed globally and the first 2,000 passersby in each city will receive a custom cotton bag designed by Stefano Pilati, the manifesto’s creative director.

A short film about the campaign is available to view at yslmanifesto.com.
