No. 48: Move laterally to strengthen those all-important side muscles

If you run, walk or lunge regularly, your body will be pretty good at moving in the sagittal plane (forward and back). But not many of us move laterally (side-to-side), or focus on rotating the body to stretch and strengthen those side muscles. In this workout, Alice shows us how to nail the perfect side plank rotation – strengthening our obliques and shoulder muscles and adding in a movement that gets all-too-often neglected. The main circuit is designed to work every bit of the body so take advantage of the breaks – you’ll need them ahead of the lunge/burpee EMOM finisher!
