Whether you’re dipping a toe in Veganuary or have been plant-based for years, there are more vegan brands out there than you think…

From salt and vinegar Pringles to your winter bobble hat, it can seem like nothing gets the vegan stamp of approval these days.

But thanks to 3.5million of Brits ditching all animal products over the past two years, more and more brands are ramping up their animal-friendly offering.

And while Ben and Jerry’s do the odd dairy-free tub and Charlotte Simone faux-fur jackets, some brands have been animal-free from the get go. They might not shout about it, but we want to.

So, from the candle brand you can burn with a clear conscience to the beauty range that’ll become your new bathroom essential, here are seven brands you never knew were vegan.

The interiors one

Fancy candles are usually made with beeswax and an acid derived from animals, but there’s no need to downgrade your expectations for a vegan scent.

Le Labo are proudly cruelty-free, completely vegan and some of the nicest scents you will ever burn. Bonus? Le Labo’s ethics extend to their perfumes, too.

The alcoholic one

Vegan drinkers, it’s time to get continental. Most ales and many beers continue to brew with isinglass, made from fish swim bladders.

The solution? Switch to German and Belgian brews, which can’t be brewed with the offending ingredient. That means it’s time to rekindle your love of vegan beer brands Stella Artois and Beck’s
