Artist knits dream boyfriend

Published

Artist Noortje De Keijzer, from Utrecht, Amsterdam has come up with a new and creative way of bagging herself a man - she's knitted one instead.

The 26-year-old decided to knit herself a life-size boyfriend, complete with three-day stubble and muscles (and slightly scary smile).

So far she's knitted two kinds. One, named Arthur, has white skin, dark brown hair and black knickers and Steve, who has dark brown skin, black hair and beige knickers.

Apparently, they both have distinctive personalities as "Arthur loves the camera but Steve is a bit harder to photograph".

On her website she also says that these men are always happy and very flexible (that could be because they're made from wool). You can even decided whether he has a moustache or if he wears glasses.

Not only that, he's happy to sit anywhere - on the floor, on your couch or at you dinner table, "but most of all he likes to lay down next to you in bed. With your head on his chest and his arms wrapped around you. This way you will never feel alone ever again. With this man you can be sure, he will never leave you".

There's even a whole storybook about the knitted boyfriend, and what you can do with him (oi, not like that), which you can see here.
