Asked to leave Saudi Arabia for being too handsome

Published

Good looks don't get you everywhere. Reports are circulating about three men who were deported from Saudi Arabia for being too handsome.

Omar Borkan Al Gala and two other men were visiting from the United Arab Emirates, attending a cultural festival in Riyadh. They were stopped by officials and asked to leave.

They were told it was because they were "too handsome" and it was feared female visitors may fall for them, Arab-language newspaper Elaph reported.

Now pictures have appeared of Omar Borkan Al Gala, alongside the (somewhat predictable) news that he is a fashion photographer, actor and poet.

Here is is, being handsome by some houses.

In this one he has a bird of prey.

Obligatory handsome-man-with-child shot.

And now he's taking a photo of you!
