Baby pygmy hippo is new zoo star

This week ZSL Whipsnade Zoo introduced their newest star – calf pygmy hippopotamus Sapo.
The nervous calf followed his mum around their enclosure before she tried to persuade him to go for a swim. Three-month-old Sapo seemed unenthusiastic and it took him an hour before he finally got into the water, encouraged by a nudge from his mother. Once he was in, he seemed quite happy to paddle about, as well as giving his mummy some kisses before they waddled off together into the sunset. We. Can’t. Cope.
