The Great British Bake Off tragically came to an end last week.

However it seems as if Candice Brown – who was crowned the winner after she unveiled her impressive picnic hamper to Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry – has plenty more for us to sink our teeth into over the next few months.

The P.E. teacher proved to be a talented baker and a formidable foe in the kitchen, stealing the title of Star Baker a whopping three times – more than anyone else in 2016.

However it was, strangely enough, the 31-year-old’s lipstick that initially got everyone talking.

From dark plum to bright fuchsia, post-box red to natural tones, the Bake Off star made a point of wearing a different shade each week.

And it resulted in high street stores seeing a huge surge in lipstick sales, with a spokesperson from Debenhams telling the Daily Mail that they’d seen demand for make-up go up by 21% since last autumn.

Meanwhile Caron Keane, make-up manager for Urban Decay, said: “A lot of our customers are huge Bake Off fans and they’ve been coming in all season to try to get the perfect Candice lip”

It’s unsurprising, then, that Candice is reportedly in talks to launch her own lipstick range in the not so distant future.

However she’s remained very coy on the topic, refusing to confirm or deny the rumours up front.

“Who knows?” she said cryptically. “A girl can never have too many lipsticks.”

Either way, it looks as if it’s going to be a very busy year for the Bake Off star.

She recently announced that she’s planning a foodie road trip around France with fellow GBBO finalist Jane Beedle, telling ITV’s Loose Women: “I love France and you might have noticed I like my little antiques and things like that and Jane goes to France quite a lot..

“We were saying we should get in a car and just go and go to markets and then she can tell me off for buying random toot and we can bake and eat, so that’s good.”

Sounds like perfect fodder for a new TV series, wouldn’t you say?

Well, it seems as if television executives agree with us; a source recently let slip to the Daily Star that producers are hoping to sign them up for their own show.

“Their friendship was the highlight of the show,” they said.

“Producers can't wait to sign them up for their own programme, which would be a lovely mixture of age and experience.”

The comments come shortly after Jane made it clear that she would love to present a show with Candice – although she dismissed the idea of the pair fronting Channel 4’s first series of Bake Off.

“I'd love to have my own show,” she said to The Mirror.

“You might see us as a double act one day!”
