With over 150 different 'jobs' under her belt - from pilot to paleontologist - we imagine Barbie's CV would be a nightmare to compile.
But the day has arrived when the iconic doll has her own profile on networking site LinkedIn.
"I got my big break in 1959 to inspire girls to dream big" begins the summary of Barbie's career on the business-oriented social network.
But while the profile unfortunately doesn't feature a mammoth list of her past incarnations- which include astronaut, engineer and ballet dancer - the page has been created in light of Barbie's latest personality, Entrepreneur Barbie.
On one LinkedIn update, Barbie writes, "My new business is "Dream Incubator" where I act as a consultant, helping girls around the world play out their imagination, try on different careers, and explore the world around them. Our company tagline is “If you Can Dream It, You Can Be it!"
The latest doll was inspired by 10 real-life entrepreneurs, including Reshma Saujani of Girls Who Code, a non-profit organization that seeks to empower young women by teaching them advanced computer skills sought after in today’s job market.
Wearing a pink and black belted dress and carrying a smart phone, tablet and briefcase, Entrepreneur Barbie is part of a larger push to rebrand the doll as an empowered woman.
"Alongside Barbie, female entrepreneurs are changing the world, surpassing their goals and showing girls they can be both capable and captivating," Mattel announced last month.
The plastic doll also has her own hashtag, #unapologetic, to help start a conversation for girls, much like Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg's "ban bossy" campaign, which encourages girls to lead.
"In essence, Barbie is always asked to apologize for what she looks like," said Michelle Chidoni, a spokeswoman for Mattel in in an interview with Time magazine in February. "And the message there is to be unapologetic."
