Uncover does for you what no amount of dressing up or pleading can; it lets you bag a table with same-day bookings at London's most coveted restaurants.
This newly-launched app has forged close ties with over 150 exclusive culinary hot spots in the capital, many of which have months-long waiting lists.
Names of note signed up to the app include La Gavroche, Gymkhana and Yauatcha.
It works by creating a catalogue of late cancellations and booking errors at select places, opening the doors to the very highest end of London's dining scene, and providing its users with the spontaneity of a bygone age.
The app currently covers London but its founders are looking to expand in Paris, New York, and Hong Kong soon.

Wine N Dine
This new Instagram-style app recognises the strongest currency of all in the culinary world - food porn.
It launched solely for food lovers and involves trading tips on the wine, dishes and restaurants you love using a stream of photos that you trade with other friends on the platform.
Once you snap a picture of your plate, you can select the restaurant and dish name from an in-app menu and upload it to the database. Other features include a 'wanna try' list, which allows you to save the dishes in the app you like the look of, and a trending list of the highest-ranked dishes.
Wine 'n Dine currently works in London and 15 American cities including Los Angeles, New York and Chicago.
Like any app worth its salt, it's already amassed a legion of celebrity fans including Kim Kardashian and model Gigi Hadid.

Delectable is one of the go-to apps of the wine world, providing a comprehensive platform for vino lovers to share their expertise.
Aficionados can upload photos of the bottle label and the app will identify the wine in question, with all relevant information including descriptions, ratings and tasting notes.
A sliding scale of smiley faces lets you rank your most and least favourite bottles of plonk, along with the ability to leave comments and cross-post with social media platforms including Twitter and Facebook.
Whether you like your Shiraz or are more of a Pinot Grigio person, you can create a custom category that is automatically updated with new wines to suit your palette.
And best of all, you can search for the best wine to pair with various kinds of cuisine, such as different types of pizza. What's not to like?
Riverford Veg Recipes
The hugely popular Riverford brand (of organic veg box scheme fame) is brought to life in scrollable form, with over 770 delicious veg-based recipes.
Scroll through and select the veg you have handy on a fruit machine-style design, and the app will ping back a host of relevant recipes.
Alternatively you can search by season or eating occasion, bringing together the old-school beauty of box schemes with new-world technology in one fell swoop.
Each recipe is tested by Riverford customers, meaning it really does stand up to scrutiny.
Save your favourite recipes and collate info on veg storage and prep for that extra bit of oomph.
