Hocus Pocus fans, it's time to get excited because the Sanderson sisters could be back.
Bette Midler has confirmed that she had co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy - who play the witch sisters in the 1993 hit film - are up for a sequel if Disney executives agree to it.
Speaking on Reddit's Ask Me Anything series this week, Midler – who starred as the villainous eldest witch Winifred Sanderson – was asked about the prospect of reprising her role for a second film, following numerous rumours that Hocus Pocus II was in the pipeline.
She replied: "You have to go to send in your cards to the Walt Disney company. The ball's in their court."
"I have canvassed the girls and they are wiling to do it, but we have no say in it, so if you want a HOCUS POCUS 2, ask the Walt Disney company."
The supernatural comedy is about the three sister witches who are raised from the dead by an unwitting teenager on Halloween night in Salem Massachusetts. The witches hatch a plan to drain the life force of Salem’s children in exchange for eternal youth and it is up to two teenagers and an immortal cat to destroy the sisters for good.
Midler, who also revealed she kept Winifred's teeth as a souvenir from the set, ended the Reddit conversation with a perfectly apt goodbye, mimicking her on-screen character: "This has been most enlightening. SISTAHS!".
