These days, it's all about taking the alternative route to make your wedding stand out, whether it's DIYing the whole thing, performing dance flash mobs or printing your dating messages on your suit.
But one bride recently took things to a whole new level by photographing her own wedding. The result? A series of cleverly shot and incredibly intimate snaps.
Liisa Luts and her husband-to-be wanted as low-key a wedding as possible, meaning ditching traditions such as hiring a wedding photographer.
Liisa, who runs a photography and videography company in Estonia, decided to take photos of her 28 August nuptials herself.
“We just didn’t feel the need for a beautiful and more classical wedding gallery from third person’s perspective. We wanted something 'our own' and that’s what this series is about,” she told Huffington Post.
The beautiful pictures depict every emotional moment of the couple's big day, from the bride stepping out of the shower to the couple exchanging rings and sharing a hug before bed.
Liisa said, “I just snapped a photo every now and then, as sincerely and straightforwardly as possible. No planning or staging was involved, so it wasn’t inconvenient and didn’t take any attention away from the day itself.”
