Meghan Markle is expected to have to take a UK Citizenship Test before becoming an official Briton.
The Suits actor, who was originally based in Los Angeles, recently confirmed her plans to marry Prince Harry in May 2018.
However, while Markle is due to become a member of the Royal Family, she is still expected to go through the official citizenship process – just like anyone else hoping to become an official Briton would.
The exam, which is used to determine how well applicants know the UK, covers all sorts of topics: think history, customs, traditions, politics, geography and law, to name just a few. Applicants need to score 75% or higher to pass the test, which sounds easy – until you realise that a lot of the questions demand answers that many people born and bred in this country wouldn’t know.
Could you pass the test if it was sprung on you today? Find out how you’d do with our quiz, containing real questions from the UK citizenship test.
