It’s time to hand in your notice and dust off your CV: Harry Potter studio tours are on the lookout for some new employees, and the positions up for grabs will be right up your (Diagon) alley.
Potterheads are being invited to apply for one of three available jobs, all of which would involve working at the ‘real life Hogwarts’ at the Warner Bros. Studios tour.
Billed as a chance to “walk in the footsteps of Harry Potter and explore the wonders of the wizarding world”, the tour – which regularly sells out for entry – includes “breathtaking sets”, “authentic props” and “original costumes”.
Visitors to the tour can marvel at Hogwarts’ Great Hall, explore Diagon Alley and see all of their favourite props and costumes up close.
And now, you have the opportunity to call these very studios your office, which we reckon would banish those Sunday night blues in a flash.
The company has posted an introduction for the three available jobs on its careers page, placing a heavy emphasis on the importance of customer service.
“The warm welcome that visitors receive from all our employees makes a huge difference to their excitement and enjoyment of the Studio Tour,” the introduction begins.
“If you have enthusiasm, personality and a flair for customer service, this could be the place for you with either a full-time, part-time or seasonal role.”
The introduction then goes on to list various responsibilities for the tour’s three main roles.
“Our Visitor Hosts are the frontline team, responsible for meeting, greeting and assisting our visitors upon arrival and again when they depart,” it reads. “Our knowledgeable Interactors are full of behind-the-scenes filmmaking secrets which they are eager to share, and our Retail Associates help visitors find the perfect souvenir following their special day with us.”
The three jobs available are then listed below, with roles up for grabs including the position of Interactor (to greet all guests to the tour), Sales Associate and Warehouse Associate (to support the warehouse and stockroom).
The site notes that there will be an assessment day on Friday 22 September, so if you’re keen to be considered be sure to get your application in here sharp-ish.
