What reasons did you give for a promotion/title change/pay rise?
That I was valuable elsewhere, and if they weren’t able to see that I’d have to move jobs. In the end, my work-life balance still wasn’t quite right so I ended up looking for a completely different option.

What was the scariest part of the process?
Just asking the question. I find it hard to approach people for things like a pay rise or more compensation and I’m also very scared of rejection – so that was hard to take.

Would you do anything differently next time?
Do it earlier!
