Liu also said that she landed her first mainstream role as Ling Woo in Ally McBeal at a time when “diversity on television was rare”. But, she continued to say that there is progress being made, with “more representation on screen”. Speaking about her young son, Liu added: “Now, he can see himself in this world and he won’t know there is a limit. I never set out to be groundbreaking. I didn’t have the goal of being a first. I just wanted to what I loved.”

Of course, Liu gave a special shout out to her fellow girls, saying: “My dear Angels, it’s a 20 year reunion. Twenty years ago, we were an elite crime fighting team and now look at us.”

Later on, Diaz and Barrymore shared photos of the moment to their Instagram feeds, with Barrymore writing: “20 years of this tripod!!!!!!! We love each other and support each other. Always will. Congratulations to our girl and her star on the walk of fame.”
