Three cheers for Ikea Canada, whose latest charitable donation has not only done some good in the world, but also provided us with a selection of adorable images of cats in beds (and, of course, an excuse to write about cats in beds).

Earlier this month, staff at the Etobicoke branch of the flat pack empire donated 10 teeny doll beds and $300 (£179.25) to a local animal shelter, to ensure their cats always had a cosy place to sleep.

Luckily for us, the Etobicoke Humane Society then took to their Facebook page and Instagram feed to thank the brand and, of course, share some perfectly cute snaps of their kittens and cats enjoying their new beds.

First up, we saw Catsby reclining on one of the beds:

Then the shelter shared this snap:

Finally, we met Hazel, who usually likes to hide under the beds but made an exception for the purpose of this photograph:

On Facebook, the shelter’s staff wrote that the cats were now able to get off the “cold, hard floor” which is “easy to clean but not terribly comfortable to lay on”.

They thanked Ikea for their Duktig Doll Beds and shared a video of the donated furniture being assembled and then explored by their cats.

You can watch the video below (and thank us later).
