It’s a truth universally acknowledged that everyone loves a new emoji. In the last year alone, we’ve had career woman emoji, vagina emoji and emoji to represent different dog breeds.
Now, never having been known to miss a marketing trick, the canny folk at Disney have jumped on the bandwagon. That’s right: before too long, you’ll be able to communicate through the medium of Disney emoji, from Ariel with heart eyes to Bambi and Monsters Inc’s Mike Wazowski.
Of course, there’s a catch. To access the emoji, Android and iPhone users will have to ‘earn’ them through playing a game, Disney Emoji Blitz, launching on the App Store and Google Play soon.
No word yet from Disney on how much the app is likely to cost. But you can’t put a price on happiness – and let’s be real, does anything say happiness like a Toy Story emoji?
