No more strange dusty cherubs from your parents’ loft – now you can top your tree with a star worth looking up to.

A not-for-profit organisation is swapping standard Christmas tree toppers for bone-fide stars, such as Beyoncé and Serena Williams in order to highlight “women worthy of wings”.

Women To Look Up To is a project honouring women who have inspired, producing 3D-printed Christmas tree ‘angels’ of the idols in question – starting with tennis ace Williams.

And if news of Beyoncé’s official holiday collection (yes, she sells Christmas jumpers now) wasn’t exciting enough, Queen B is also available in tree-topper form to grace your pine this year.

Meanwhile, the third decoration in development, as decided by a public vote, has just been revealed as none other than Hillary Clinton (available to pre-order).

The figures are printed in plaster (the design taken from a hand-carved original) and prices start at £80 depending on tree size – which, yes, is a little more than the avocado decorations you may have had your eye on, but we’re assured that profits are reinvested in projects that further gender equality and empower women.

Additionally, if there’s a woman in your life you particularly admire, the company can create a bespoke tree topper of a woman of your choice, be it your mum, best friend, mentor or grandma (bonus: hello favourite grandchild award).

If this all sounds fabulous but a little out of your price range, Women To Look Up To also offers Christmas cards featuring Bey, Williams and Clinton, as well as Adele, Angelina Jolie and Michelle Obama.

We wish you a very feminist Christmas.
