First look at Jennifer Lawrence in 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1'

Published

The Hunger Games fans have been teased with 'public announcements' from President Snow and propaganda-themed posters in the lead up to Mockingjay Part 1, the third film in the film franchise.

Now an official trailer is finally here and it gives us a first look at Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen in the upcoming release adapted from the first part of the last novel in the Hunger Games book trilogy.

The video begins with the discerning voice of Plutarch Heavensbee played by Philip Seymour Hoffman who died before production of the films concluded.

"Listen to me," says Heavensbee to President Coin (played by a grey-haired Julianne Moore). "No one else can do this but her."

"We need to unite these people out there. She's the face of this rebellion."

The video then cuts to a scene where Katniss Everdeen walks through a crowd of people sitting in a dark room.

When a young teenager stops Everdeen and asks her if she is ready to fight with them, the protagonist replies, "I am. I will".

Audiences were left on the edge of their seats when Catching Fire, the second Hunger Games film, suddenly came to an abrupt end after *spoiler alert* Katniss blows up the force field around the arena and sends it into flames.

Mockingjay Part 1 arrives in cinemas on 15 November in the UK and Part 2 is expected to release in November 2015.
