Forget everything you know about dating - a five-year-old boy has rewritten the rules.
Young Freddie Gibson, from Christchurch, Dorset, is redefining relationship goals with an extremely cute courtship of his "best friend in the world" Dee Dee, also five.
As soon as young Freddie learnt what the word "date" meant, he told his parents he wanted to take out Dee Dee.
Shunning modern dating norms of texts, WhatsApps, emails or even phone calls, Freddie sent Dee Dee a special invitation in the post - this was no casual meet-up.
The miniature Romeo saved up his birthday money to cover the costs of their meal and even bought a new wallet to keep his dinner money safe.
Dee Dee accepted and Freddie chose Pizza Express for their outing.
Freddie told his mum Nina Gibson that he wanted to give Dee Dee flowers, so she arranged for a mini bouquet for the youngsters, who sat in a table for two by the window - and helped each other to read the menu.
Nina, who has known Dee Dee's mum Katy Jones since they had antenatal classes together, described the young couple's date as "the cutest trip out ever."
"They are polar opposites in personality but really are very fond of each other," Katy says.
And what did the young romantics think?
"Dee Dee is my best friend in the whole world and I loved our date," Freddie enthuses. "I'd like to take Dee Dee on another date because she's beautiful."
And Dee Dee? Well, her mum says she has already picked out a wedding dress from their local boutique.
"I really enjoyed going on a date with Freddie," Dee Dee says. "Especially the hearts on our ice cream."
