Episode three of Fleabag season two introduces the series’ best guest: Kristen Scott Thomas, playing a businesswoman named Belinda who delivers an epic monologue about female pain to our eponymous heroine.

‘I was in an airplane the other day, and I realised – I’ve been longing to say this out loud – women are born with pain built in. It’s our physical destiny. Period pain, sore boobs, childbirth, you know. We carry it within ourselves throughout our lives,” Belinda told Fleabag over a couple of dirty martinis.

According to the BBC’s official plot synopsis, the rest of the episode saw Fleabag “help with an event at Claire’s work which inevitably ends in disaster, but an introduction to Claire’s colleague proves intriguing, and a chance meeting with a stranger opens Fleabag’s eyes.”
