As the so-called "party season" is ready to begin (see the host of Christmas adverts that have started hitting our screens for further details), the foodie scene is adding its tuppenny worth with a whole host of new places to eat, drink and celebrate, across the UK.

And so to help you stay on top of them, we've tracked down the best names to know for November.

Zelman Meats

2 St Anne's Court, London W1F 0AZ
Opening date: November 3 (soft launch until November 8)
What's the story? Foodies across London were distraught at the closing of seafood favourite Rex and Marino, but in its place, Zelman Meats, a 'experimental space' for meaty dishes has a range of restaurants across the capital. They're trying to nail the lunch market, so expect £5 steak sandwiches.

Noble Rot

51 Lamb's Conduit St, London WC1N 3NB
Opening date: November 10 (soft launch until November 12)
What's the story? We couldn't be more excited about this one - mainly because, located two minutes from the Stylist offices, it will undoubtably become our new local. Respected wine magazine Noble Rot have teamed up with the foodies from the highly acclaimed restaurant The Sportsman in Kent to launch a Parisian style wine bar. And there's 50% off until the end of next week.

German Gymnasium

26 Pancras Rd, London N1C 4TB
Opening date: November 12 (visit Hot Dinners for an exclusive soft launch offer)
What's the story? This is big news in the restaurant world, with a former gym building in King's Cross (that has until recently been covered up) transformed into a huge, three-story glamourous restaurant, with a German chef, German dishes, and a determination to make mittel-European (aka German) food the next big thing.

Opening date: November 17 (soft launch between 11 and 15 November)
What's the story? We love a story of a supperclub getting a permanent home and former Kopapa chef Selin Kiazim is someone much deserving of her own location. She has used her supperclubs as a testing ground for her Turkish menu, while finding a new home.

Wine and Brine, Belfast

59 Main St, Moira, Co. Armagh, BT67 0LQ 
Opening date: mid-November
What's the story? Great British Menu chef Chris McGowan is going back to his roots and opening a wholesome restaurant with locally sourced produce, combining traditional cooking practises, including pickling, curing and aging. All in all, it should bring a little bit of the local-sourcing trend to Northern Ireland.

Coin Laundry

70 Exmouth Market, London, EC1R 4QP
Opening date: November 16
What's the story? Comfort food is the talk of the town at the moment -and this new Exmouth Market location is focusing on the comfort food of the seventies specifically, with chicken schnitzels and prawn cocktails among the star dishes. The premium sources of the food should mean they're a bit tastier than they were back then.

23 Conduit St, London W1S 2XS
Opening date: 23 November 
What's the story? Possibly the most appropriate name possible for a new restaurant, this highly anticipated eatery from multiple-Michelin starred Japanese chef Yoshihiro Murata has been in the works since his first attempt at a London restaurant folded in 2012. The name, since you ask, is the Japanese word for butterflies in the stomach. And that's certainly how we feel about the modern Japanese menu.

Pier 8, The Quays, Salford M50 3AZ
Opening date: 27 November
What’s the story? Manchester’s Lowry centre has had quite the extension as the Salford Quays develops, and this £3million restaurant with a modern British menu is part of the new space.

The Ninth

22 Charlotte Street, London W1T 2NB
Opening date: 23 November
What's the story? Jun Tanaka, who headed up The Pearl in Holborn and co-founded Street Kitchen in the City, is finally opening his own restaurant, and its Fitzrovia location makes it something of a destination. Promising a French/Medeterranian menu with seasonal changes and a focus on vegetables as a star dish, plus its own bar and concise wine list, it'll be much more than ninth on your list of places to go in future.

Rick Stein Sandbanks

10-14 Banks Rd, Poole BH13 7QB
Opening date: Late November
What’s the story? Rick Stein doesn’t half love a seafront restaurant. His latest venue in Poole will offer a chance for non-Padstow residents to try his famous seafood, and create a gorgeous seaside hub.

New branches of old favourites: The long-anticipated Islington branch of Meatliquor is now open, having had its launch delayed since October. Pizza Pilgrims is opening a new branch in Exmouth Market and the Ivy has launched two new branches of its cafe format, in Marylebone and Kensington High Street.
