A mismatched duo (Doc thinks Tony’s a total slob; Tony thinks the reserved Doc should lighten up), the odd couple embark on their trip and, after a series of dates in the Midwest, head to the segregated Deep South. There they begin to bond as Tony’s eyes are opened to the discrimination Doc suffers on a daily basis.

And that’s where the title comes in – it refers to The Negro Motorist Green-Book the pair are given to use, a real guide published from 1936 to 1966 to help African-Americans travel safely through the hostile and dangerous Southern states.

Green Book has already been a huge success in America, where it’s recently won three prestigious Golden Globe awards, namely Best Picture (Musical or Comedy), Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor for Mahershala Ali.
