How many of us are guilty of spending too much time gazing at a screen?

David Kim’s life is thrown into chaos when his feisty 16-year-old daughter Margot – who he’s been communicating with via FaceTime– suddenly goes missing.

As Kim, a recent widower after losing his wife to lymphoma, tries to track her down, he realises the only way he’ll really find out what happened to Margot is by accessing her laptop and tracing her digital footprint.

Kim discovers that not only has his daughter been pocketing the $100 he was giving her for piano lessons; she’s also been chatting to strangers.

As Kim dives into the virtual rabbit hole of Margot’s online life, he uncovers a group of friends who pretend to be closer to his daughter than they are and, when Margot’s case goes viral, falls victim to a chilling Twitter hashtag that proclaims #DadDidIt.
