Nothing brings joy to our hearts quite like the prospect of spending the night in an alcohol-themed establishment (hello London’s giant gin hotel, aka The Distillery).

So we were predictably thrilled to discover that the world’s first ever craft beer hotel will soon be opening on site at BrewDog’s new 100,000 square foot brewery, situated a mere hop, skip and a jump across the pond in Columbus, Ohio.

Featuring beer-themed rooms, a craft beer breakfast and – of course – a shower beer fridge, the hotel looks set to fulfill the (literal) dreams of beer lovers everywhere.

There’s even the option of indulging in a trip to the bespoke beer themed spa, offering hop face masks, malted barley massages and “hoppy feet” pedicures. And of course, all shampoos, soaps and shower gels will be made using only the finest craft beers.

The BrewDog team – founded in Scotland in 2007 by James Watt and Martin Dickie – has already reached 164% of its financial goal (nearly $123,000, or approximately £100,334) on its crowdfunding webpage, which also details the company’s plans to launch a sour beer brewery.

“We just launched our new craft beer brewery in Columbus, Ohio, and to make it the beeriest place on earth, we're launching the world's first craft beer hotel on site,” the page reads.

“This hotel will provide a complete experiential environment in which to truly immerse yourself in the world of craft beer. From waking up to a view of our sour beer foeders and the smell of freshly mashed malt, to hop-infused spa treatments and beer breakfasts, and even amazing craft beer on tap in your bedroom - this hotel will have it all.”

And referencing the sour beer brewing initiative, the site adds, “Sour brewing provides the opportunity to experiment and innovate with the weirdest, most wonderful styles of beer the world has to offer…

“We're setting ourselves up to start building some insane recipes without impacting on our day-to-day brewing.”

And just in case you can't fully picture how the beer hotel might look, BrewDog has released a video (below) to fill in the gaps.

A giant Punk-IPA-filled jacuzzi? We’d have to try it to believe it.
