The much-anticipated line-up for Glastonbury has been announced, with over 80 named added. Ed Sheeran, the Foo Fighters and Radiohead had already been confirmed as headliners. Which means there’s a glaring absence of female acts on the top tier, and only two female-led acts; Katy Perry and The XX (fronted by Romy Madley Croft) are listed in the top 11.

It’s a far cry from the last two years, which both featured female headliners in the form of Adele and Florence and the Machine the year before that, when Emily Eavis promised the lineup was “strong on women.”
