Spring cleaning is such a chore but we can’t think of a better way to show off those lovely fresh walls and de-cluttered rooms than with a striking new picture or painting.

The new stash of prints were discovered in the archives of Getty Images in LA, where the Sonic Editions team dug through thousands of pictures before coming across the group of unseen images featuring legendary figures such as Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Paul Newman, Brigitte Bardot and Sophia Loren.

The photos are true collector items with just 50 prints of each image being made available (owners will discover a pencilled caption on the back revealing details about the photographer and the situation in which the picture was shot), and start at a very reasonable £45.

Monroe and Bardot are sure to be obvious favourites, but we love the quiet beauty of the rooftop shot of Marriage Italian Style co-stars, Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni.
