When was the last time you thought about your phone? Looking at it doesn't count. We're talking about wondering if you have enough battery life or imagining unread message notifications pinging up on your screen.

There's a good chance it was within the last 10 minutes. Smart phones, tablets and other digital devices are consuming our thoughts and time more than ever before.

It's a topic that French illustrator Jean Jullien has talent for capturing with plenty of sarcasm and irony.

Using real-life observations and witty caricatures, the artist has summed up many of our technology conundrums in his work, including feeling isolated and alienated from the rest of the world.

Jullien has become a celebrity in the drawing world for this work, frequently pulling in over 15,000 likes on his Instagram posts.

(You might also recognise him as the artist who created the brilliant Eiffel tower-inspired peace symbol after the terror attacks in Paris last month).
