It’s no secret that getting a foot on the property ladder in London can be – shall we say – difficult to achieve.

With prices continuing to soar in the capital, and a literal slice of a house selling for well over half a million pounds, having a place to call one’s own is starting to feel like an unachievable dream.

And sometimes, when we see what our hard-earned cash can buy us in other parts of the country, it can also seem like a bit of a pointless one, too.
