Channel 4 and Netflix’s new dark comedy has got everyone talking (and watching) after scoring an enviable 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

January is usually a month for staying away from the booze, embarking upon a healthy routine of some sort and hibernating away with a whole lot of TV time.

Which is why finding a new show to curl up to and binge watch is an absolute must for the month.

Say hello to Netflix’s End of the F**king World.

Based on the comic book series by Charles Forsman, Channel 4 and Netflix’s brand new dark comedy follows the lives of James (played by Alex Lawther) and Alyssa (played by Jessica Barden) as they take off on a road trip to try to find Alyssa’s father. But little does she know that James plans to kill her.

Each of the eight episodes are 20 minutes long, and fans have loved it so much they’re pleading for another season to air soon.

At the time of writing the show has scored an enviable 100% on Rotten Tomatoes with some critics saying it is “simultaneously sinister, funny, wise and fabulous” and it “gets under the viewer’s skin with sharp, bloody intensity”.

Fans have loved the coming-of-age story so much they’re pleading for another season to air soon.

Reed Hastings, Netflix’s CEO, posted his praise for the coming-of-age story in a Facebook post on Sunday 6 January, saying:

“Wow, new show. Most engaging addictive original wild show in a long time. Crazy good. Two teens searching. Watch!”

And people have taken to Twitter to share their love for the show too:

“I need another season,” one user posted.

“I loved End of the F**king World! Now, that’s coming of age. More series like that, please!,” another user posted.

“Finished End of the F**king World. What an amazing finale, I honestly kind of hope this was a one-off series, but I’ll definitely watch a second season if they make it,” another user wrote.

Well, that’s our weekend sorted.
