Periodic table of female scientists

A science-loving blogger has created a series of periodic table-inspired posters celebrating female boffins.

Kapil Bhagat, a graphic artist from India, came up with the designs to honour multi-Nobel Prize-winning Marie Curie, who died 89 years ago this month.

The elements we spotted:

Marie Curie = Radium

Geneticist Barbara McClintock = Boron

Astronomer Maria Mitchell = Iodine

Biophysicist Rosalind Franklin = Aluminium, Nitrogen and Dubnium
