Word on the techie grapevine is that the Poly photo app might just be the new Instagram.
Designed by über developer Jean-Christophe Naour, the Poly app enables iPad users to create polygonal versions of photos, so that they look like cool Cubist era images.
Naour was inspired by Delaunay Triangulation (a complicated geometric mathematical theory established by Boris Delauney in 1934), and the lofty aim to make images look as if they're going "beyond the screen" and almost into 3D. While not quite as easy to use as Instagram, Poly is a great way to give an artistic twist to everyday snaps.
