Great news ladies, you might be able to date Prince Harry! Just kidding, you really can't.
The fact that the Buckingham Palace rumour mill has been in overdrive concerning a possible engagement between Harry and his long-time girlfriend Cressida Bonas, should have been the first thing that tipped you off.
However, that hasn't stopped Fox network in the US from commissioning a new TV series called I Wanna Marry Harry (we see what they did there).
The premise is fairly simple, 12 single American girls are taken away to the palatial Englefield House in Berkshire (fun fact: Julian Fellowes nearly chose the house for Downton Abbey) where they will spend weeks trying to impress "Prince Harry" - or rather a man who's got red hair and is British.
You might have already guessed, the women aren't actually there for Prince Harry at all. In fact, it's his lookalike Matthew Hicks, an average English chap given a royal makeover, trying to convincingly act the part so the women don’t find out who he really is. We dread to think what happens when they find out that it's not really him.
The project comes from king of reality TV shows, Ryan Seacrest Productions and ZigZag Productions and was greenlighted last August under the title Dream Date, but all the details were, for obvious reasons, kept under wraps. However, it looks like it'll be hitting screens for a summer launch.
No word on whether we'll be able to watch it in the UK, but we can guarantee we'll be hitting up YouTube for the best bits.
