Put that breakfast burrito down right this minute, because we come armed with joyous news.
An adorable three-wheeled Piaggio Apé is tooting its way to London this summer; and it’s filled to the brim with bubbly.
The Bubble Bros are bringing their iconic “prosecco wagon” to the capital for a series of festivals, Time Out reports.
First up on their tour of wonders is the London Pizza Festival at Borough Market on 28 May, where you can quaff a glass of sparkling wine next to a freshly-baked artisan pizza.
Wireless Festival is the next stop for this oh-so-cute vintage van, on 7-9 July in Finsbury Park. Thirsty punters can stock up on bubbles before soaking in headline acts including Chance the Rapper, Skepta and The Weeknd
Finally, don’t miss the RHS Summer Urban Garden Show in Westminster on 11-13 July. Here, the Bubble Bros will be serving ice-cold Prosecco aplenty amid a blaze of terrariums, succulents and exotic ornamental plants.
Friends Ben Broad and Joe Bruce set up Bubbles Bro in 2015.
Joe says the concept came from his wife Lucy: “She came up with the idea at Wilderness a few years ago. Originally, she suggested a Prosecco and poppadoms van,” he tells Toast Life.
They cleverly converted the Piaggio Apé into a unique travelling bar, before searching far and wide for the right prosecco.
“It took a long time for us to find a vineyard that made a decent Prosecco and was happy to put it in barrels,” Joe says.
Happily, their mission was successful and they settled on Glera Frizzante, a light and moreish brand that is apparently served best “in an ice cold glass, straight from our tap, paired with a nice big plate of pickles.”
