But fear not, 2017 is not short on culinary masterpieces. Behold the mouth-watering, mind-blowing cheesecake doughnuts.

The wickedly talented food blogger Amy Erickson of ohbiteit.com created the doughnut and cheesecake hybrid when she discovered Philadelphia sold a ready-made cheesecake filling (only available in America).

She decided the best thing to do was to pipe it in a freshly-made, crispy doughnut and the results were more than delicious.

"These doughnuts are the BEST doughnut(s) I've ever had," wrote Amy. "I was only going to have my one "taste-test bite" and before I knew what happened..BOOM. The entire thing was gone".
