For dessert, guests can tuck into treats from luxury chocolate brands The Cocoa Lab, Zara’s Chocolate, Paul Wayne Gregory and Sir Hans Sloane.

Of course, we’d never dream of recommending an activity that wasn’t educational as well as delicious. If you want to learn more about what you’re eating and drinking as you eat and drink it, you can also sign up for one of a clutch of workshops taking place over the weekend, from ‘Cider and Cheese Tasting’ with Somerset Ploughman’s Henry Hobhouse to ‘Wines of Rioja’ with British Master of Wine Tim Atkin (yep, that’s a real title).

The Cheese and Wine Festival will be open from 12-6pm on Saturday 1 April and 11am-4pm on Sunday 2 April at Stratford’s East Village on. Entry is free. You can find out more about the event here.
