If you liked the rainbow bagel, you'll love this festive twist

Colourful food has been making waves this year, with unicorn grilled cheese sandwiches, multicoloured toast toppings and the rainbow bagel (in both original and goth versions) lighting up the internet.
With so many eateries twigging that the bright food = more Instagram likes, it was inevitable that Christmas would bring festive twists on the vivid trend.

Thus, Christmas rainbow bagels came into being to bring everyone an extra (bagel-shaped) dollop of festive joy this year.
Several companies are offering red, white and green bagels, such as New York’s The Bagel Store – already famous for its rainbow breads – which first sold the festive treat last Christmas and has brought it back for 2016:
Square Bar Cafe in San Diego is also selling festive sandwiches:
Illinois’ Standard Market is in on the trend:
And Bagels & Brew in Los Angeles calls its version the unicorn bagel:
We don’t know if we’d swap our classic bacon sarnie and Buck’s Fizz combo for a rainbow bagel come Christmas morning, but they’re definitely pretty to look at.
