Much like Lorelai in the Gilmore Girls, we’re obsessed with all things coffee-based – and, incidentally, we’re also incredibly interested in everything and anything to do with wine.
So you can imagine our excitement, then, the moment we learned that there is now such a thing as wine-infused coffee.
As in, yes, coffee. Infused with wine. Actual wine.
Be still our beating hearts.
The hedonistic morning drink was first created by the heroes at Molinari Private Reserve (MPR) – a café based in the USA’s Napa Valley (aka the land of wine).
Writing on their website, they explain: “This full-bodied coffee relaxes in a beautiful wine, absorbing the wine’s nose and history.
“Then the coffee is carefully dried and hand-roasted in small batches.”

The result is something which muddles all the best parts of our favourite caffeinated drink and a smooth, full-bodied vino; think blueberry tasting notes, a pleasantly bitter kick, and rich chocolatey undertones.
“The addition of milk makes the wine more pronounced, while the French Press emphasizes the blueberry essence,” the MPR website adds. “And, much like wine, the cooler MPR gets, the more the coffee breathes and opens.
Sure, it tastes boozy. But, unlike the Turbo G&T, which combines neat gin with espresso for the brunch cocktail of your dreams, this wine-infused coffee blend is completely alcohol-free. Which means you can drink it all day long, if you don’t mind an intensely caffeinated buzz.
However it is, undeniably, pricey; you can buy it online for $20 (around £16), but it costs an extra $30 (£25) to ship it to the UK.
We guess you can’t put a price on true love, eh?
