If, like us, you spent your university years living off pasta, then you’ll be a pro at rustling up simple pasta based dishes like spaghetti bolognese or a quick carbonara. Even on a hangover, it wasn’t the most testing task.
It’s common knowledge that pasta should be added to boiling water, in a pan, boiled until it’s soft, and then drained. But now a video, which has recently gone viral, shows an alternative way to make it – by cooking it in a frying pan, in cold water.

The video, which has had over 11 million views, gives you a step-by-step guide on how to alternatively cook your pasta.
If you feel like giving it a go – follow the steps below, for pasta ready in just 10 minutes.
Step 1: Add your desired amount of pasta into a frying pan, before you boil the water
Step 2: Then add in cold water (apparently this stops your pasta sticking together)
Step 3: Make sure the water covers your pasta by an inch or so
Step 4: Boil for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally
Now go spread the word – surely this is one to impress your flatmates or boyfriend with.
