In fact, over a quarter of people revealed in the survey that a good old sarnie is their Sunday lunch of choice.

So, to make sure that none of us are scrimping unnecessarily on fillings, we’ve rounded up a batch of impressively hearty sandwich recipes, all packing irresistible bite.

We like this one; turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, tomato slices and of course, a gravy soaked slice of bread in the middle.
