Londoners: this restaurant now delivers a three-course, Michelin-starred takeaway

When we get food delivered to the door, it’s usually of the fried, fatty, greasy kind and tends to come the day after a late night or at the end of the week (when the very last dregs of your energy are spent getting changed and scrolling through Netflix).

However, the takeaway game has been upped of late with companies going direct to your favourite eatery to bring you restaurant-standard meals – and now hungry Londoners can get Michelin-starred dishes on demand too.

Deliveroo is partnering with Galvin at Windows for the rest of October (yep, that’s the place Fred ‘First Dates’ Sirieix manages) to provide a three-course menu priced at just £35 per person.

High-end takeaway is on its way

Customers can also order the dishes separately (though why you would is anyone’s guess), with starters of cured salmon with Dorset crab, avocado and fennel compote, or ballotine of pig’s head and black pudding with saffron aioli and pickles (“Oh this? I just knocked something up super quick, it's nothing really...”).

Mains include a kimchi risotto and braised beef, while there’s also the option of a caramelised apple tart dessert or a cheese selection.

Nick Green of Deliveroo says: “The £35 menu has been specially created for our customers to offer an extra special twist on the usual weeknight takeaway – Michelin-starred, seasonally-inspired food delivered straight to your door.

“Galvin at Windows is famous for its high quality food and we’re confident that this collaboration will be a huge hit with our customers – elevating date night to the next level.”

Well, date night or sitting-in-your-pants-eating-good-food-because-no-reason night, whatever.

The menu will be available, via the Deliveroo app, for lunch and dinner Monday to Friday until the end of the month.
