Welcome, to a world of pure imagination…
You can keep your girls’ nights out and your boozy brunches. There’s a new food-focused way to socialise with your best friends in tow – and it all revolves around chocolate.
If you’re the kind of person who storms through dinner to get to dessert, or who always orders the creamiest, most indulgent cocktail on the menu, the idea of a chocolate festival probably has you feeling like Charlie Bucket walking into Willy Wonka’s factory.
And the upcoming Fantastical Chocolate Festival is probably the closest thing the UK has to Wonka’s “world of pure imagination”.
Think rows and rows of chocolatey treats as far as the eye can see. Think chocolate statues, chocolate fountains, chocolate fondue, and so much more.
As well as stalls from the best confectioners around the UK, selling all kinds of chocolate – plus alcoholic milkshakes, hot chocolates and cocktails – you’ll have the chance to get stuck in yourself by making a chocolate statue and trying arts and crafts.
There’ll also be photo booths, because we all know it’s not really an outing without photographic evidence.
The event is broken into two time slots, afternoon and evening, and your £6 tickets will gain you access to your slot of choice. We recommend going for the evening, as it’s more focused on the adults-only parts of the festival.
Once inside, you’ll be free to roam the festival like a kid in a candy store.
The festival will be touring the UK from October, visiting cities including London, Liverpool and Manchester. Some dates have already sold out, so check out the Facebook page to see a full list of dates and sign up for tickets here.
We’ll be the ones hanging our heads under the chocolate fountain – see you there!
