Say hello to your gelato self; the brilliant new website that matches your social media profile to a bespoke ice-cream flavour

If you were an ice-cream, what flavour would you be?

Out of life's many questions, this is one we just don't ask ourselves enough.

Sure, we know what flats we like (stripy, points) and our preferred taste in coffee (flat white), but when it comes to gelato, well - the possibilities are endless.

Luckily, an innovative new website has come to the rescue.

Flavorize.me  promises to dream up a bespoke ice-cream flavour based on your social media profile.

The mechanism uses an algorithm that runs your Facebook, Instagram and Twitter posts through a list of 25,000 common words that are related to three different tastes: sweet, spicy and salty.

Based on how your social posts fall between these tastes, the website will then conjure up a whole new and entirely unique flavour just for you.

Sorbet brand Talenti Gelato are the folks behind the initiative, which runs to the end of August. They're even going to pick a few of the best outcomes from the algorithm to make as real-life ice-cream flavours, which is music to our eyes.
