We cornered the guru of sugar-free baking, Sophie Michell, to give us some tips on baking without the sweet stuff
When creating a sugar free dessert, what's important to consider?
'The misconception when making sugar free dishes is that all food containing sugar is bad for you. There are good fats and sugars like coconut oil to use when making desserts, cinnamon and vanilla as sweet substitutes. Dates and avocados always work as good fats in deserts.'

What's one of your favourite desserts?
'I love sweet desserts, I have a real sweet tooth. There's nothing better than a sticky toffee pudding in my opinion.'
We think Sophie would approve of this recipe for Sinless Sticky Toffee Pudding from website Oh She Glows: http://ohsheglows.com/2011/12/15/sinless-sticky-toffee-pecan-pudding/
What's one ingredient you love to use?
'Dark chocolate is a great ingredient in sweet dishes, especially a high percentage of cocoa like a rich 75%'
So there you have it - a guilt-free way to satisfy those sugar cravings.
