Started by husband and wife duo Lauren and Ed, the pair plan on offering 20 different varieties of doughnuts – including seasonal options.

The pair noticed there was demand for a sweet and sugary vegan treat after scoping out the market.

“A few friends pushed us to do a vegan fair at The Dogstar [in Brixton] about 18 months ago and I was so nervous we wouldn’t sell anything at all,” they told the Metro.

“We sold out of 100 doughnuts in under an hour and were kind of speechless. I think that’s when we realised there was a gap in the market and a lot of like-minded people after a dirty treat!”

If you fancy trying one for yourself, pop down to 11 Dispensary Lane in Hackney Downs from 17 January. And the first 100 customers through the door will receive a free doughnut.
