Wanderlust Wine and the Totally Thames Festival 2018 have joined forces to host the event, which will take place on the 22 and 23 of September on the Tamesis Dock boat at Albert Embankment (SE1 7TP).

Although the boat will be docked on the Southbank for the entire event, (no need to worry about getting wobbly sea legs after a drink or two), the unique setting is guaranteed to provide gorgeous, unobstructed views across the river, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.

Both days are separated into two halves, with sessions running from 11am to 2pm and 2.15pm until 5pm. During these times guests are given the chance to try wines from literally all over the world (we’re talking Hungary, South Africa, France, Italy, Romania, Australia, New Zealand and beyond!) as well as talk to the winemakers behind them.

If you pride yourself on knowing your Riesling from your Moscato, this is a chance to learn more about the origins and flavours of some incredible creations. Equally, if you just love getting tipsy with your friends, we think you’ll thoroughly enjoy the eight tasting samples on offer.

Tickets cost £25 per person and include entry to the event, the samples previously mentioned and the opportunity to purchase your favourite wines by the glass on the day, or arrange delivery of a selection of anything you love to your own front door at a later date.

Sipping tipples in the sunshine on a boat used to be an activity reserved only for holidays in the Mediterranean, but with the UK’s Spain-like weather we guess it’s only a matter of time before we start introducing siestas too, right?
