Taking on a TV remake is no easy feat – especially if it involves one of the greatest shows from the Nineties: Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

In recent months, we’ve been given sneaky previews and little insights into how Netflix would be tackling the reboot. So when it debuted on the streaming service on Friday 26 October, we immediately tuned in to see how leading actress Kiernan Shipka would fill the shoes of Melissa Joan Hart.

And thankfully, fans and critics alike have since given the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina a resounding nod of approval (and we have, too).

But what we all really want to know is: what do the original cast members think of it?

Well, the wait is over because Netflix has captured their initial reactions for all to see – and they’re brilliant. In the video, Melissa Joan Hart (Sabrina Spellman), Nate Richert (Harvey Kinkle), Beth Broderick (Zelda Spellman) and Caroline Rhea (Hilda Spellman) all come together for a mini reunion.

To begin with, both Rhea and Broderick agree that the show really is a lot darker than the original.

“It’s terrifying, this show,” says Rhea.

“It’s really scary. I don’t think I can watch it alone,” adds Broderick, but Rhea adds: “But we want to see more.”
