Pumpkins are filling shop windows, Halloween make-up tutorials are saturating the internet and (here's the best bit) television channels are gearing up to air Hocus Pocus once more.
The long-standing, childhood favourite has been giving us the perfect dose of fear, intrigue and excitement since it released in 1993. So why in Merlin's name hasn't there been a sequel yet?
Last year, Bette Midler confirmed that she and co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy - who play the Sanderson witch sisters - are up for a sequel if Disney executives agree to it.
"I have canvassed the girls and they are wiling to do it, but we have no say in it, so if you want a HOCUS POCUS 2, ask the Walt Disney company...The ball's in their court."
This week the star caused further speculation to brew with a tweet that started with the alarming words: "SEQUEL DELAYED"
She continued to tease fans, writing "@Disney having trouble finding a virgin!" which made us wonder if the production company really have given Hocus Pocus 2 the green light.
Najimy, who you may also remember from the Sister Act films, also chimed in on the conversation:
Yesterday, Midler continued to tease us with the below tweet...
...and Najimy gave somewhat of an answer to anxious fans speculating a sequel, writing that she can't confirm the film either way and that it's down to Disney to make the call.
Let's keep wishing (witching) for it SISTAHS.
