When Spice World: The Movie came out in 1997, we, as one, rushed to our nearest cinema, forked over our £4.07 for a ticket (yes, that’s really how much it cost back then), bagged ourselves a bucket of popcorn and a slurpy drink, and settled back for the experience of a lifetime.

Because this was so much more than just a film. It was a movie within a movie within yet another movie, wrapped up inside a music video and served with an extra sprinkle of #girlpower. Since then, we’ve spent hours poring over the film’s many, many male celebrity cameos (including that surprise appearance from a Fleabag favourite) as we prepare for this year’s Spice Girls Reunion tour. But if there’s one element of the movie that we’ve truly been captivated by, it’s that depiction of the Spice Girls’ surreal home life: if you’ll remember correctly, the film promised fans everywhere that Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Mel C and Victoria Beckham all lived together on a double-decker bus, complete with an indoor swing.

We were obsessed with that bus. Obsessed. So you can imagine how excited we were to learn that, in 2019, we can finally – just like Ginger, Baby, Scary, Posh and Sporty – live it up on the original Spice World bus.
