Thought decorative plates weren't for you?
These ones might change your mind. Or they'll make you more certain than ever.
These are the plates you’re looking for. Perhaps
Artist Angela Rossi upcycles vintage, antique and just plain old plates by giving them a Star Wars themed makeover.
The Los Angeles-based creative then sells her one-off designs on her website Beat Up Creations for anything from £10 to £166.

The idea came to Rossi when her mother decided to get rid of her extensive collection of hanging ceramics.
"Some were old portrait plates with demure ladies posed in proper positions and big fluffy dresses," she explains. "They were all beautiful with hand-painted details, gold accents, wonderful porcelain but in reality they did not exactly match my modern, urban style. So, were they useless? No, I must make them cool again."
Of course she must. Rossi could not escape her destiny and left her 9-5 job to make a full-time living from her hand-painted plates.
As well as Star Wars characters, she paints watercolour homages to an array of suit-wearing animals and pop culture icons, such as The A-Team's Mr. T to Gremlins' Gizmo.
